Mr. Cogswell's Living Classroom
Mr. Cogswell’s ninth grade biology class is learning science by doing.Â
In our living classroom, students explore ecosystems firsthand, identifying insect species, testing pond habitats, and observing how plants and animals interact. They study biodiversity, irrigation, and aquaponics, where nutrient-rich water from fish tanks fertilizes plants like our thriving mint.Â
By working outdoors and in the greenhouse, students see biology happen in real life, in real time.
